A letter to our Kindergarten teacher
Annie Taylor was my youngest daughter’s kindergarten teacher this year. She was someone who exemplified what it means to love God and love others in a way like no other. She impacted my daughter, Macauleigh’s life as well our life. Today, I wanted to honor her and the many of you who are active in student’s daily lives. You are making a difference.
Today, may this be a great reminder for all of us of the great privilege that we have when God calls us to work with students.

Dear Mrs.Taylor (Annie),
I thought that it would be best for us (Michelle and I) to write you a letter to express our deep admiration and respect for you as our daughter’s first experience of having a teacher at school. You have certainly left an indelible mark on Macauleigh’s life and we are so grateful.
It is always a special moment as Michelle and I get older to see former students (like you) grow, mature and find out where they are called to be used by God. You certainly exemplified someone who was in their passion area and served God with their whole heart.
Michelle and my desire for Macauleigh is that she would have Godly people around her who would love serving God and through their life show that being a Christ follower is the number one priority in your life. You went above and beyond this in Macauleigh’s life.
I get the privilege to work with a lot of pastors and church leaders in the job that God has called me to be a part of. I want you to know that you were Macauleigh’s pastor this year and you served God in a way that we truly saw God working in and through you.
Annie, I am not sure what God is calling you to next but we are so grateful (with tears welling up in our eyes) to have had you be apart of our family’s life by teaching Macauleigh. Our hope and prayer is that Macauleigh will serve God in the same way that your life modeled Him to Macauleigh this past year.
Thanks from the bottom of our heart for the way that you loved, cared and supported the kids of your class. You certainly have left a legacy behind for them to chase after! God bless –
Matt and Michelle Wilks
